into measurements.

Load a numeric CSV grid. Choose a threshold and pixel pitch, then inspect what changes. Your file is processed in your browser.

This tool thresholds numeric values; it does not identify crystal phases or reconstruct three dimensions. The initial grid is synthetic. Published figure colors are not raw numeric data.

Input values · dark negative, teal zero, amber positive. Color scale is symmetric about zero.
Amber = selected cells; white = transect.
—Selected area
—Median complete transect width
—4-neighbor components

Widths are measured along the selected line, not necessarily normal to a boundary. Runs cut off by the image edge are excluded from the median. Pixel pitch is supplied by you; optical resolution and measurement errors are not corrected.

Threshold choices change the selected area and connected regions. The ±20% threshold comparison is a sensitivity check, not a confidence interval. Orientation is the principal axis of the largest connected component, clockwise from image-right; nearly isotropic or tiny components have no reported orientation.
